Middle Eastern Dance Music
I just got a gig to DJ @ a Morracan Restaurant, I usually spin trance and I'll play house if I have to.
The owner wants Middle Eastern tracks in the set, does anyone know who and what's hot in the Middle Eastern EDM scene(if there is such a thing) and also know where I can download the tracks.

Last time I was in Turkey I heard some great stuff, eventually found out it was a track by 'Asena'. Went searching and found about 10 CD's, bought one, not bad but not as good as the stuff I heard previously. But an artist for you to check out anyway.

Im amazed how istanbul is filled with electronic music.. I was there for almost 2 years ago and stayed in a flat in the centrum, and during the nights you could hear the loud electronic music coming from private parties, cars, hotels and clubs from my balcony.. It was quite an experience. In one clothing shop they played DJ tarkan, I heard the "dont touch that dial because youre locked into dj tarkan" advertisement, the whole city is just amazing in general imo...
