Nice and punchy - pretty good sounds in there man. Good stuff.

I thought so... I thought so.
I've built a new room recently and wanted to get back in the trance/ambient game a bit. I hope to get a few more tracks out over the coming weeks and see where it goes from there. Fun so far!

A good base but weak strings and stuff, needs some work but has the basis of a good track.

Interesting, I didn't use any strings. It definitely has several layered pads though but no strings section. What did you find weak about them? Thanks for the comments.

AstroCat,
This track is beautiful and complete. Master it and send it to the big boys. It is ready for the trials because it is full and strong.
Very good work!
Dany

hey this track is very cool, it could use to be a little faster in BPM and alot more reverb and depth in the synths (requires heavy outboard compression units) the basic track is hard and to the point. Well done sounds like a track they would like on the deep blue radio show.

+1
Maybe a few Fx thrown in might help
Best bit is at 6.23 , but it should of come sooner.
Thanks for the comments and encouragement! For some odd reason myspace says the track is like 21:23 long! haha, now that would be an epic track! It's really just over 6 minutes.
I was planning to revisit the track and I'll take a look at the synth pads and see if I can beef them up a bit, that seems to be a common criticism. Although, in several parts I do want them just to be pads and let the leads work over the top, so they shouldn't compete with each other. I'll upload a new version if I can come up with something I like better.
Thanks again for taking the time to comment, totally appreciated.

I haven't heard the track (cause I'm at work), but that's just a bunch of boohockey!
Advising people to use heavy outboard gear, c'mon dude! Don't say something you might just have overheard!
Edit: sorry about my reaction, I know you just mean to help. But what you said just doesn't make any sense!

Hehe, don't worry I just let those comments slide, I know they are just trying to help. I've been in professional/commercial audio for over 15 years (playing and making music forever, I'm an old guy ), and have had many published projects both from the company I work for and from my personal studio. I'm just new to making actual "modern" trance tracks, although I did a lot of techno and house work during the 90's out of my personal studio.
