Coldplay - Viva La Vida (GeRmAn & Meyla Remix)

Hi guys,

This is a remix myself and Meyla are working on, Before I get it mastered and make it public I just wanted to upload a sample of it to see what people think and if I should work on it some more. If you think it needs some more work please let me know what you think it needs or doesn't need

Here's the 128kbps link

I think that pluck is way off in places...are you sure that your "bassline" is in F minor? That's what I think the original song is...if I remember well...

otherwise nice arrangement, but really nothing special...

sorry...

also I think that the patch (pluck sound again) really doesn't suit the song at all :/

The bad before the good...

I had trouble hearing the vocals distinctly enough to hear the lyrics and the backing instruments seem both sparse and drown out by an over-present hi-hat wash. There is some phase induced sibilance occurring when vocal 's's collide with the hi-hats.

The overall track doesn't breath - It sounds very static. If you're like me, however, you might be saving automation for the final phase of the mix.

The excellent!

All that said, it's a very, very good start. Consider me impressed. There are a lot of good ideas you have that ought to be kept. While the track needs some finessing, I have high hopes for its final version.

Great job, so far.
