Barachem - Fractured Essence (What trance subgenre and is it original?)

I'm a trance producer hobbyist and have made a many a tune.
I try to make stuff that's to my liking and and also original.

Well here's one of my tracks, Fractured Essence, from about 2007 or maybe 2006, dunno.
I hope you can tell me what trance subgenre it is and if it is anything original.

Thanks for the listen.

Is it that uninteresting?
I'm not asking for good/mediocre/bad comparison, but you can tell me as well.
I'm just asking what styles it covers and if it's anything original.

The sounds you use are pretty "classic trance," but the melody and bassline in the first half sound a bit like epic / balearic trance in the vein of Solar Stone. Then in the second half the melodies and harmonies start to sound more like Boards of Canada or maybe some of Orbital's more dissonant stuff.

It's an interesting track, and pretty original. I don't really like the vocal sample, it seems kind of unnecessary to me. I think the track stands out enough on its own because of the stylistic "blending" you've done without needing a catchphrase to make it memorable.

I'd be interested in a high quality MP3 if you could upload one.

Sorry for the delay, but here it is.
Thanks for listening and commenting.

I never heard of Boards of Canada and i am not that familiar with the more dissonant Orbital stuff, but searching them was somewhat enlightening.
Yeah, you're right about the vocals, i should at least lessen their frequency of appearance.
Still i do like them even though i agree that the rapid repetition is overkill.
