New member here, just signed up to present some radio opportunities that I'm hoping some of the DJs among you may be interested in.

Firstly some background information about our radio station, SSRadio:

Launched in 2005 to satisfy the needs of the House community for a high-quality online radio station boasting the cream of the scene’s DJ talent, SSRadio quickly became the station of choice for clued-up deep and soulful House heads, reaching out to thousands of global listeners 24 hours a day via the power of the world wide web.

As well as playing great music, one of SSR’s main goals was not to be just another ‘MP3 juke box’. From the very beginning, the station’s schedule has consisted of professionally mixed shows, with hosts ranging from talented up-and-comers right through to the industry’s most respected names. With this professional attitude towards programming, attracting these names has not been hard, and wherever possible we ensure these shows are exclusive to SSR – another step that keeps us well out in front of the competition, which with their many syndicated shows are quite often just carbon copies of each other.

SSR was one of the very first, and still one of the few, stations to offer a complete ‘listen-again’ archive and podcasting service for all it’s shows – something which has proved extremely popular in this era of the iPod generation, with the top shows reaching in excess of 11,000 downloads each week.

SSR has also garnered an enviable reputation for broadcasting live some of the best House events around the globe, from London to Ibiza to Miami and beyond, working with such respected industry players as Defected, Mn2S and Traxsource to name just a few – all of whom have been able to bring the atmosphere of their parties into the homes of fans all over the world thanks to SSRadio, massively extending the reach of their brand into terretories that they hadn’t been able to before.

As SSR continues to grow at a rapid pace, we have recently launched the third evolution of our often-immitated interactive website, entering 2009 with innovative new features showcasing the power of Web 2.0. Building not only a radio station, but also a community around the station, has always been an important part of our ethos, and this new site furthur emphasises that goal with personalisation options and additional enhancements to make the whole listener experience so much more than just tuning in.

In addition to the new site, we are extremely excited to be launching another 4 channels, branching out into further genres of dance music in order to satisfy the needs of an even greater audience. From Disco to Drum’n’Bass, SSRadio has it covered in the way only SSR can...

Which brings me to why I am here!

One of our new channels, 'Hard & Fast', covers Trance, Hard House and the harder/faster styles of dance music, and we are currently looking for talented DJs to join our roster.

We are looking for enthusiastic individuals who can supply a weekly or bi-weekly show of 1 or 2 hours in duration, and who will actively promote their show and the channel in general.

At this early stage in the channel's life, we need some 'ambasadors' to help it grow. In return, we offer you a fantastic platform with which to promote yourself as a DJ, including a free listen-again facility and exclusive podcast for your show. The top shows on our original 'Deep & Soulful' channel regularly each get over 1500 podcast downloads a week, which shows the potential you can achieve with a little promotion. Obviously this new channel is not yet established enough to currently be achieving those kind of figures, but it's all there for the taking by any early adopters willing to get involved.
