REVIEW: Red Bull 3Style @ The Mod Club w/Flosstradamus
Had a lot of fun. It was a last minute decision but none the less I went to support my cousin DJ MENSA. Congrats to him winning the competiton!! No other DJ after him really rocked the crowd after he did (I think). Well deserved and it was nice to see other various types of music being played. I liked how DJs kind stuck to their own genres of music rather tried to do something they weren't really in to. It was nice to see a lot of mashups/re-edits and creative mixing.
Red Bull always throws good parties and this was no different. It was packed inside at 11pm and there was a huge line up at the door at the same time. Some friends couldn't get in by 1130. Those Red Bull DJ set ups were sick!
All in all it was a good night, I'd post some pics later if I can get around to it.

I came to support Evan last night. The line up took 20 minutes, and we arrived what I thought was early (10:45pm). The place was rammed though.
The DJ's started up around 11:30pm and the first guy sucked, long tracks and beats were off. The Jedi came on and got things started off, nice mixing (laptop) with lots of different genres.
Then came Evan G which I loved, definitely more my style of music and mixing although he did mix it up a bit with different genres as well. Using CD's as well. He was my favorite but I left shortly after.
So Dj Mensa won? He was the one after Evan and I wasn't liking it at all (part of why we left), but in all honesty I left after 2 or 3 mixes so I didn't hear all of his set (laptop). I did notice that he had a crew of his there with little signs cheering for him and going nuts.
