No, but the 6s are basically the twins without the dedicated low frequency driver. So you'll get less bass out of them. The 6s paired with the Sub is probably a good choice... although I never liked the idea of having a 'matched sub'... which is why I went for a dual woofer design with a dedicated low frequency driver (the Twins).

The Twins are highly recommended for any kind of music but I would skip the Solo because the low end is not the same as the Twins so it's not gonna cut it for EDM. In the 2k price range I'd look into the BM12A, you don't need a sub with that and it's a fairly accurate monitor.
The solo with a sub is another discussion entirety. I am personally not a big fan of subs although I'd like having one just to use it as a reference.
