I'm not 100% sure this is in the right section, but if it's not I'd be happy if a mod would move it.

Anyways, I like all the stuff that's being produced here and I thought it would kinda cool if I made a weekly mix of some of the new tracks that come out. I just want to promote/mix tracks from unsigned artists because I don't want to get into all the royalty stuff. Basically I just want to do this for my enjoyment and fun and put it online. I am not hoping to profit from these mixes just to have some fun. So basically I'm asking if there are any legal issues I should be concerned with in doing this?

ask the author, if they say yes, you're ok...

you'd possibly have no problems putting it in your mix even without asking, but hey, let's say it's more polite to ask before you do so...some artist may wish not to have their tracks played in your mixes...

I think it's implied if there is a download link to the full track at a high quality, you could use it, just give credit where credit is due.
