I couldn't agree more with this guy. I have always been thinking, in the back of my head, how the bailout of the banks never made sense. giving the debtors debt relief would have helped everyone. Under my logic, it never made sense that the government would give money to the banking industry when they can write off their losses (I think up to 80%). However, if the debtors were able to pay-off their motgages by virtue of debt relief by the government, then the banks wouldn't lose money and the government would be working in favor of its constituency -- that is, working in favor of the people (like it's supposed to).
