New track! Please give CC, I could use it.

I never usually get a decent review, (in the other forum) either people saying things like "its cool" or "its cheesy".
But if anyone feels like doing an actual review I'd really appreciate it. Maybe things to change, should it be longer? Sound quality, anything would be helpful. Or even if the track keeps you engaged or if you lose interest and at what part.
Thanks!

The melody sounds ok, but all the sounds are bad. The drum samples are particularly not good. The mix is pretty messy to, sounds like it hasn't even been EQd at all?

It has been equaled lol, extensively. I tried to cut as much as I could w/out losing my low end. Things are panned too.

My only issue was the kick (not a sample its from FL Kick synth) and the arrangement, but as far as the sounds being bad I'm not sure I hear it, there is automated distortions going on so if you're hearing the main lead decay at times its normal, otherwise I'm lost.

Thought this was my best track to date.. but now I think I'll go cry.
But seriously if other people think its sounding dirty let me know.

Well actually its suppose to sound a bit dirty and raw, and also soft and gentle.. but most of all pleasing.

Well, I think the melody is good, but the mix sounds messy. I can't tell if it's the sounds or if it's just the way it has been mixed. The kick seems to disappear a lot by the middle of the song? Likewise, other sounds just don't cut through enough, sound a bit muffled.

I think the drum sounds aren't good though. I would use a better drum synth or use samples - it all sounds a bit "basic 909" at the moment. Maybe some processing would improve things... but it would be just easier to drop in samples I think.

Awesome, yeh the kick does kinda drown out. I'll go run some different samples through it and see if I can make something else work.

One thing I did on these drums though that I like is the wind sweeps are actually the closed hats too. You'll hear the hats open release and thin out in the filter (hi-pass and resonance - can hear the effect around 3:06) than come back to make the hats again. I wanna try to keep the hats noise, (not the middle hat) the shuffle hats, and see if I can just make it sound better.. and def mix it a bit better.

The beginning isnt too bad, but i lose interest 1/3 in the track, the lead sound is pretty good.. but there are too many low frequencies clashing here as i can hear.
And the lead sounds and stuff are so compressed and loud it drowns the drums totally.

But the idea isnt bad at all, but the cymbals and stuff needs more space.

Good intro but the low sounds do clash sounds a bit like the resonance on some of the filters is too high maybe. The kick to me is no good mate im sorry it sounds like a bad drum synth seriously if you compare your sample to any vengence trance kick I bet the difference would be massive no amount of processing is gonna make it something its not.

However on the creative points yes i agree its a good song like the melodies and i like the atmosphere sounds very trancey and your quite bold with the melodies leaving a little to guess left which i like. The snare sound very dry and old school though. Good work but BEEF UP THAT KICK MAN!

EDIT: And congrats on getting a feedback request on the prod forum without bein flamed

Processing a highly structured and complex pattern of sensory input as a unified percept of "music" is probably one of the most elaborate features of the human brain.....understanding how music is perceived and how it may elicit intense sensations is far from being understood.

the main stay of this tune or the overall production is very good. fl

only the arrangement lets you down. a great tip to overcome this would be to pick on one key part at a time. then decide on what you want from it and add other things.
sounds silly maybe but it works!

anyway good stuff imo

The kick is so weak it sounds almost like an earbud kick. It sounds like you were going for psy in the beginning, and then it switched to epic trance. I wish you would stick with the sounds you had at the beginning. I like the synths.
