Re: Beatport Question
| quote: | too damn expensive |
I really cant argue with how much we pay these days, when i think back to the days when i would spend £80-£100 and walk away with less than 10 tracks on vinyl,
Or when i would spend nearly £20 on a double album just for that one track i was so desperate for..
But answering your question, yes i think it does go down after it loses its `exclusive` tag, that being when its not exclusive to beatport anymore..
In cases when its just a new release, some artists only allow sites like beatport, junodownload, 3beat(download) etc to only sell a certain amount of downloads,
after this the track will disapear and more than likely only be available on vinyl from then on,
this being why it did not have an exclusive tag (because it may have been available on other sites, only vinyl though) but still had the higher price..
Hope this has been of some help.
