progressive plucks

best vst to use for creating those mellow plucks in progressive tracks? im still using alot of presets sounds.

although if someone can explain how to create this sound using a synth please do share

You can turn many sounds from most synths into plucks for progressive house, its all in the envelope. Fast Attack, short decay, short to mid sustain...and normally for a pluck you want a fast release, but to give it a bit of mellow ambience, might want to add a lil bit of release, the fast attacks and decay will give the sound its pluck, but the release will give it some mellow ambience. But gotta watch out, because too much release will infuse a bit into the upcoming notes attack. Try it out.

What kismet7 said. That applies not only to the amplifier, but also try a similar envelope on the filter cutoff.

Plus, you can use a little reverb depending on how you want to tailor the sound.
