Club Gorgeous Returns!
It's been in the cards for a while now - a Club Gorgeous revival is upon us. Were you one the many guest coming to Copenhagen on a Wednesday during 2000-2003, we are very happy to announce - WE ARE BACK!!!
The club has contacted the 4 original residents and asked if we were up for a few parties during 2009 and all of us thought that would be fun!
So get your calendar out, "X" off Wednesday the 8th of April, cause you are going to the Club Gorgeous Revival Party!!
A few facts:
• In the year 2000, Club Gorgeous was the first Danish club ever to have a truck on the legendary Love Parade in Berlin – the last big one with a crowd of 1.2 million people!
• Over the 3 years the club was open, they released 7 mix compilations with the hottest tracks from that period, mixed by the 4 residents.
• One of the 4 DJ’s, Michael Parsberg, produced Safri Duo, which led to the very first appearence of one of Denmarks biggest worldwide clubhits ever, Played-A-Live, was heard for the first time.
• Resident dj, CK Feltman, went on to become a succesful club promoter on the party island Ibiza, where he worked with loads of different artists and labels.
• Michael Splint had a monthly radio show on the webs biggest station – Digitally Imported – which still runs – showcasing the latest of his favourites. He also went on to produce music and released on of the biggest club tunes of 2003 – I Feel Free.
• The final of the 4 residents, LP Støvring, was for many years DJ on Danish National Radio P3’s electronic show, the much missed Friday night special, Festudvalget and later as part of ”Det Store Mix”.
• Wednesday April 8th, from 23:00 till very late, the 4 original resident dj’s, CK Feltman, LP Støvring, Michael Parsberg and Michael Splint, together with the Danish trance producer, DJ Choose, knock down Alexandrahus with the biggest tunes from the great era of trance.
