Where is this two for one deal? I checked best service and there's no mention of it there.

Thanks for that. I picked up Trance ID 1 & 2, on a whim. Even if I just pick up one or two new ways of combining sounds it'll be worth it. It sounds like there are some quality productions in there.

I've had ID1 for a bit, cant say i was the biggest fan of it mostly because the preview was way too misleading in terms of the quality of it all as a bundle. Though there are some gems there that are definitely worth the price.

I can well imagine a lot of it won't be of any use to me currently. But there were one or two sound combinations on the demo which sounded very good. So yeah, if I learn one or two things from it, it's all good.

The demo for ID2 didn't exactly blow me away either, but once again some good sound combinations...and a decent list of producers behind it - Mark Pledger, Darren Tate, Mike Koglin...worth a shot.

their "trance" sample cd that was released around 2001 (can't remember) is pretty much where everyone got all their sounds until vengeance repackaged those very sounds with some alterations and sold it as their own sample cd which everyone then started using.

everything else they did was utter garbage

derail, did you get your hands on the trance id combo yet? I'm hoping it doesn't sound too "Anjunabeats" and offers some decent variety in samples and sample types.

I wasn't home yesterday when FedEx stopped by, so will get it on Monday. I'll provide some initial impressions then!

Okay, very first impression of Trance ID 2 - only a few of the "songs" were in my style, but I've been going through one of them for a while now, listening to the various parts, trying to get similar sounds happening with my own synths and I've already picked up a few things I'll explore further over the next little while.

It's interesting that ID1 and 2 didn't arrive in the same package - the receipt mentions it, calls it a "Plug-in RebateProduct", with a quantity of 0. Maybe they were temporarily out of stock?

Anyway, ID2 features 30 construction kits and nothing else. If the demo mp3 appeals to you and you'd like to dissect the songs, could be worth picking up.
