Connecting SL1200 to other studio hardware

Just had a studio upgrade that involved putting in a Behringer Xeynx 1002 - not a DJ mixer. Problem is it has no point to connect the forked spade connector from my SL 1200. I'm not sure what this connector is but I know from experience it eliminates feedback during playback.

I used to connect it to my amp, but I don't use it now due to upgrading to powered monitors as well.

Is there any other way I can deal with this?
Thanks

it's ground, so ground it.

How about the difference between phono ins and line ins though? RIAA EQ curve + amplification...does the behringer have phono ins?

feedback and ground noise is your least problem, u wont probably hear shit connecting 1210 to a normal phono beacuse it needs another amp which is included internaly on dj-mixers.
get a RIAA amp from Clear Audio or something. Good shit

You need to remove the ground from the turntable, or ground it somewhere.

You also need an RIAA preamp otherwise you won't hear it very well....if at all.

Has 1 phono in, the rest are TRS. Soundcard is plugged into mixer using a phono to TRS cable so could always do that again as the phono input is currently used my my CD player.

As for pre-amp comments, is this necessary given that the signal will end up in powered (active) monitors?? Surely this is the same as when I ran it into my amp without pre-amping it??

And how would I ground it with no ground connection on any of my other kit?? Dumbass question I suppose but I don't want to Fcuk it up.

Thanks to all for the help

You don't seem to understand the difference between phono in and line-level in. It is not about the shape of the plugs. Your CD player is line level. Your turntable is phono and needs correct (specific for record players) preamplification. These are also available in separate boxes.

Google phono pre-amp or RIAA curve, and learn.

You can also ground your turntable internally. AKA, remove the ground cable.

MAN I say it again; grounding is least of your problems, u wont hear shit connecting a turntable to a normal line level as it needs to be amped by a RIAA. RIAA RIAA RIAA / thread
