Ive been trying to figure out how to get the knobs and buttons to react in ableton 7, but no dice. Anyone know how to set it up, or do i have to buy another means of hooking up my xone92 to my computer

is the xone coming up in ableton's midi preference section?

Its not there. The device shows up as a standard USB midi. I was trying to set it up using the manual method but its still a no go.

mac or pc? You might have to configure the xone useing audio midi set up before you start up ableton. Not too sure, I dont have one but that was first thing that came to my mind

The Xone 92 doesn't have a MIDI interface built in. It's just 5-pin MIDI DIN in/out.

So I assume you have another USB->MIDI interface. That is what you want to select in Ableton for receiving MIDI.

Also, the Xone 92's MIDI is VERY limited. Only controls with the little "MIDI-port" icon transmit midi. I know the crossfader, filter knobs, and all of the light ring buttons transmit MIDI, and I believe it sends out MIDI clock based on the tapped tempo as well.

Not sure it will do what you want.
