be careful guys/gals, especially if you have children.
i've been going around with a mask these last couple of days trying not to touch anything in the subways and public places.
although most of our cases have been in Queens,
you never know.

I really hate the media and this BS Swine Flu.
~36,000 people died in the 1990's from influenza but that wasn't considered a pandemic.
We've only had a very small percent die from the "Swine Flu".
Also, in 1976 there was an outbreak of "Swine Flu" and the vaccine killed more people than the flu, go figure.
Google it. I'll post references later.

I think 36,000 is still about the average for influenza related deaths in the US & 200,000 hospitalized from it.
So that's close to 100 people a day die in the US from regular flu. We've had one die from swine flu this week, and that was a baby. And it was in Houston, which no one cares about that city anyway.

I work construction. Lots of Mexicans (or people who came through Mexico to get here illegaly) work as concrete-pourers and shitrockers. If there is anyone on this site who will probably die first it will be me.
However, like Phoenix, I too believe this is media-based hysteria. Just like Y2K, Conficker, Global Warming, and about as credible as anything the tabloids put out.

Just heard in the news that the baby that died also had other health issues. Wish I DVR'd it because the news reporter said it at the end of the report and somewhat under his breath.
I think the media is testing to see how easy it is to yank our chain. Just like the gun control scare, everyone went out and bought all the ammo and guns. Now everyone is out buying hand sanitizer and Tamiflu.
I see through the BS and refuse to be a sheeple. I'm going to be the WOLF.

The kid that died wasn't even a resident of Houston. He was visiting from Mexico.
fuck the media...i'm so sick of their bullshit. the american public needs to wake the fuck up and get ahold of themselves. the media is now just another form of entertainment. i wonder if these companies pay the media to say things to get them to buy their products. i bet they do.
