Korg KM-402 or Behringer DDM4000

Hey guys,

I'm planning on getting a new mixer and I'm thinking either the Korg KM-402 or the Behringer DDM4000. Not sure which one to get. If you guys can help me decide that would be great. If you own one of these let me know what is good or bad about it.

Thanks..

You can get some much better mixers in the same price range as these two.

Surprisingly, I've heard fairly good things about the new Behringer. Its night and day over the DJX 700 supposedly.

I had a KM-402 for about three weeks, and returned it. Faders are not good, knobs were too small for my liking. Integrated kaosspad is nice but got kind of old. I liked the white color though. I returned it and used the money towards an ecler.
My experience with the behringer is positive. Only messed around with one once, and besides the idiotic placement of the headphone jack, that thing is pretty future proof. Lots of options, and some midi capabilities. For the price it is nice.
I'm at work so I can't get on to the torq forums (don't ask how i can get onto TA from work and not torq, makes no sense), but i will post the 'DDM fanboy' thread from their forum later. It has a lot of feedback from several users (some un-biased) that might be helpful in making a choice.

yeah korg usually does make knobs small, but i got used to it. I like needing to be a bit careful instead of going all out pete hook on them. I find i can mix more precisely this way.

i have yet to meet anyone that has bought a berhinger mixer and did not kick themselves for it a few months later.

There was an issue with google earlier today that screwed up a bunch of websites.

So what would be a really good mixer for the prices of the korg or behringer?

I would go with korg. I have the 202 at home and I love it. I also hate behinger mixers. I've had very bad experiences with them.

you are not going to get anything that you won't want to throw against the wall in 2 weeks for 300$.
save up at least to get something with a little resale value when you quit.
