It's a Cubby tradition to get a celebrity to sing it. The late Harry Caray, a sportscaster, started it with the White Sox and then with the Cubs. He used to do the song at every home game until he died. It's not hard to sing at all. The celebrities just suck ass.
Here's a fun fact I learned some time ago: The song was written in 1908 - the last year the Cubs won the World Series.
