a good place to start would be 2 pioneer cdj200's and a small compact mixer like a denon dn-x100
that's actually the same setup i use at home for messing around with, i've actually recorded a few mixes on it too
it has everything you need and will work well |
+1, good advice. You'll grow out of that equipment really fast and the resale value will be pennies, so you'll have to buy a new setup again if you want a better experience, even for practicing.
Also, you'll find that the transition from this equipment to anything "pro" (should you get the chance at some point) will be way harder than by using something that Tony suggested in the first place.
I personally like vestax mixers, because they are built well, sound great and are good value. One thing that is unique about them compared to other brands is that even their cheap mixers feel like higher end mixers, just a smaller version.
