Other careers in music aside from DJ/Producer/Singer

ok i was just watching my all time favorite movie "Heat" and the ending song reminds me so much of a Chicane tune "overture"....anyways i was just thinking how awesome it would be to organize songs and compose music for movie scenes...i always hear certain tunes and like i can picture the perfect movie scene for that song...maybe i have a knack for this?? anyway what other cool careers can u think of that involve music...

i always have mad respect for the lucky guys that get to write songs for commercial jingles. Think about it. These guys have no self-respect, and what do they tell females when they are in bars trying to pick them up? They have to lie about what they do.

Heheh, mad respect to these guys for living with themselves.

Well Oakenfold and BT have been making soundtracks recently. Also, I believe that this is the job of Transa on the boards. He composes movie soundtracks...thats gotta be so fun.

Anyway, it's usually a composer. I remember hearing about how for Indiana Jones Spielberg had a big screen TV (with the volume off) playing the movie set up in front of the orchestra. The composer then had the orchestra play music that went with what they were seeing...excellent idea.

that movie rules, i love Heat!

in case anyone was interested, i know a guy who is currently writing songs for video games, so there's always that if you can't make the cut for movies. just an idea
