Best Plataform for Producing

Hey Guys, well; i have fruity loops, but I think i have some troubles with it, errors, i had it before in win98 and it was OK, now I have WinXP, so witch is the best Plataform for producing: Linux, Win95,98, ME, XP ??, Using FL, reason, etc.

What I have is: P4 1.4 Ghz, 256 Ram Mem, PCI Sound Blaster Live, do u think that is ok for start to try producing?

Thanks in Advance

well, I use Windows XP and it runs very very smoothly.

Once in a while I get some stupid kind of "dropout errors" when using Sonar, but I just save, exit, and reopen and it's fine.

Linux is supposedly the most stable operating system.. but win xp is fine for me

oh one thing, I've got a p4 1.7 ghz running on 1024 MB Ram.. so that might be why mine is very stable.

I've never had any problems while running Reason or fruity loops, or sound forge.

Weel, Thanks for the reply, is a good thing to know that thigs works fine with XP, but in FL, i have a problem: When I put some Samples, the sample doesnt sound and just make a little sound like Pffff, So i dont think is my Audio Card, since the FL worked fine time ago, maybe is a configuration that I have to do, does someone have had the same problem??,, and knows how I can fix that?

Thanks.
