service charge

How come all the groups that put together parties use some sort of ticketing service like wantickets/groovetickets? I understand that some venues have these services attached to them like the tabernacle and sporting events which require the ticketmaster monopoly but why doesn't liqufied just sell their own tickets on it's own website?

The service charge could be saved from its customers or at least lowered from the ridiculous amounts that these places charge for 'transaction' fees and could be kept by whoever is selling the tickets rather than the ticketing service keep this.

Or at least give us an option to buy tickets without the service charge by printing some and have them available at a local store/box office.

Just a thought...

I am pretty sure tickets on those sites attract more customers. Also I think that the sites deal with the hassle of credit card chargebacks etc. I could be wrong

Ya

WantTickets ends up paying the credit card company charge.

Plus having a centralized, popular ticketing site like WantTickets gives more exposure to the events.
