Yeah, he's coming to Melbourne as part of the Slinky thang.
Looking forward to seeing him, but I'm still not sure how well his sound is going to translate into a big party atmosphere. I'm thinking back to Steve Lawler @ TT, who plays a similar style of deep/proggy tribal music: it would have sounded good in a club, but in a massive arena it doesn't quite work.
But we shall see.

I have a feeling he won't be as deep and progressive as he used to be. Him and Stephane K having been pumping a lot of their commercial remixes (Kosheen, iio etc) They seem to have steered clear of their great early productions eg. I Love You, I Wish You Were Here. Then again, I maybe wrong, but seeing as it's @ The Rise, the commercial stuff may preside in order to cater for the audience. If anyone checks him out reply to the forum and tell us how it was...

Rise? Is that fucking shithole dump still open? They single handedly managed to recruit the worst staff in the free world. It was always a pity that so many "big" names had to play in that place. I miss perth but i don't miss rise!

Well I'm not sure what style he spins, but if it's anything like the stuff he produces then you can expect it deep and chunky.
For $20 it's probably worth a gander though, whether you like prog-house or not..... which brings me to the question, why are all Perth events so bloody cheap?

Fistly John Creamer is from New York, not the UK
Secondly, his sets are almost always pure prog...In canberra his set was amazing, highlighted by PQM's "Are You Sleeping"
