Tarkus (which I think was originally announced back in 2004)has just been released and is an emulation of the Korg MS2000.

As much as I liked Superwave and adored the Superwave trance pro when I started out it sounds woefully weak by today’s standards.

Judging by the pretty pants demos I'm not sure Tarkus is any different and I won't be paying nearly £70 quid for it when you can get Z3ta or Vanguard for about the same price.

If any ones interested they still have the P8 available for free download and trance pro / Superwave professional for £19 each.

Also worth remembering that this company disappeared for a number of years and were still selling their products for a time and not supplying a reg code or support to anyone that brought it.


It's a real shame the didn't spend all this time devolping a true JP8080 emu but there we go. Mabey someone will one day.

Dumb demos, as expected, but it doesn't sound as bad as SuperWave p8....

Worst demo ever

well I hate Superwave P8 and TP, sounds funny... But I've found that this new synth Tarkus sounds good... Demos sucks, but the sound is ok for me, they have an analog soul and some of the patches such as that metallic bassy seq on U2 cover demo I've never saw in other Vsti's...

good synth imo
