Tell me about it. I was at a house party and they happened to have a DJ steup there, so I stepped up and found they had skullcandies. Possibly the worst DJ headphones I've ever used.

i don't even consider skullcandy headphones to be dj cans

As i would typically agree, i was actually quit impressed with the little cheap ear buds skull candy has put out. While I wouldn't recommend them to anyone as dj headphones, they did help me out at a house party the other day.

My AKG's finally kicked the bucket after 3 long loyal years of constant use, so I had to figure out what I was going to use for a house party I was throwing on Saturday later that week. There, lying on the desk, were a cute pair of my GFs pink skull candy ear buds. Cringing at the thought of have to use them I decided to try them out. To my surprise they worked quit well, good bass and highs along with a decent amount of isolation due to them being jammed in my ear, LOL. I used them the entire night while using a sound system that would literally rival many club's systems, and had 0 issues.

Again, I still wouldn't suggest anyone use them as a primary headphone, but they did come in handy as a nice back-up in a pinch.
