Ok I first started burning mp3's with Windows Media Player. Both CDJ 800 and 1000 played them perfectly well (but I hate that 2 second delay before you get to play the track ).
Last time, I tried using Itunes for a change and I liked it because managing, modifying, burning and printing playlists is so much easier.
But then I tried playing the mp3 CDs on CDJs... and to my great dissapointment only the first mp3 could be played. All the other ones were unavailable, I couldn't even skip to any other track .
I know it's Itunes that fucking up because Windows Media Player does not but I'd really like to know what s the problem there because Itunes is so much more practical. After googling for a while, I didn't find anyone who's had the same problem. Do you guys know what I could do to fix it (besides using WMP)?
I trust you already have set the mp3 import settings and such in itunes?

when burning a mp3 disc there is always a gap between songs you cant get rid of. its a mp3 thing i guess. but if you were burning a audio cd (wav) you can get rid of the gap in the settings.

When you say all the others were not available, are you sure it wasn't one big mp3 file? Did you try skipping through the duration of first track with fast forward?
There's an option somewhere (i forget now) to set the gap between songs on or off. Also, if you're burning an Mp3 cd, any tracks in any other formats will not be burnt to the CD as itunes can only do single format, not mixed media.

How does the CD look in Windows Explorer? Can you play all MP3's on your PC?
And, yes, usually there's a setting for gapless burning.

I've had a look in the CD's and I thought the problem was that some CD's burned with Itunes had mp3s within a lot of different files and folders. Apparently that is not the cause of the problem since I have other CD with files and folders burned with WMP that work well and CDs burned with Itunes WITHOUT files and folders that DONT work.
It's true that I unchecked the "insert 2 second gap between each track" box. I'll burn new mp3s and try it out. Otherwise, I'm stuck with WMP.
Yea iTunes is a bitch to burn with (can be with the cover all) You can set iTunes to have whatever gap you want but burning an MP3 disc your kinda stuck
As for not having a track 2 ect ect you burnt it to be just one file. You need to go in and set it to be different tracks
