Dog Running About this "backword" bass

b---b---b--- <--Bass
--k---k---k- <--kick

Is this kind of bassline used in any genres at all? Or is this something that nobody uses?

How bout some experiments? You only use what you wanna use in music, that's the way it works. I think music would be boring if everybody would use the same patterns, anyway the Beat-bass-Beat-bass thing is the most used I guess but also the easiest one, some experiments can lead to very good results and give your song that little bit more than the regular B-b-B-b pattern

Yes yes, I don't wanna use exactly same things as everybody else. But I just wanted to know if this kind of bassline is popular in some genre or if some producer already uses it in every tracks or something

Just experiment with it... Fuck what "Everybody else uses", if it sounds good, go for it!

oDrori, I completely agree wiht U If someone likes to do exactly same kind of music as Tiesto or Armin, just let the do. And if someone wants to do music that is strance as hell, it's should be ok.

What is important, is that the producer loves own work. When U love Ur work, then it's done with love and that will sounds just awesome!!!! Well... It is always good to know some basics

Thi's is the way I think.
