Hello All,

'Stars Collide' is a new dance track by Damien S ft. Femke that is due out on Loverush Digital in July.

The label has decided to try and generate some early interest in the release by giving out my remix for free for a limited time.

Loverush Digital has described my rework as 'A cool, classy, trance remix with a massive 'hands in the air' riff and a 'BT - Flaming June' type breakdown topped off with some acid licks, twisted and stuttered vocals and a driving bassline.'

First reply out of god knows how many downloads Id assume!

A interesting remix and good with it I'd happily pay for this standard of stuff

I assume the labels maybe under performing so this remix is downloadable for a short period to get some interest, I'm surprised at the lack of interest.

Hey guys!

Thanks for your interest. As said above the track comes out in July on the Loverush Digital Label. The label is actually very successful, regularly hitting the top 15 of the UK Club Charts (Music Week Magazine), unfortunately sales are hard to come by when 90% of the downloads of the label's tracks are pirate copies

I regularly remix for the label, and my album will be released on it later this year; I don't actually have any commercial stake in it apart from that.

Dont think this would sit well in a jon o bir set or even pvd, armin or tiesto for that fact.

Wouldnt think the faithfull at jaarbeurs every year would be into this????

maybe if your gear it towards the deadmau5 fans you might have abit more success?

could be wrong.

Thanks for your pseudo-quoting of me there. The only problem is I would never use the word 'of' instead of 'have'.

I'm glad you took the time to download and listen to my remix. I won't be gearing it to anyone however, that will be for the record label and Power Promotions to do

haha , i did wonder why i changed 'of' into have!

But i do think your label should push this to the house market if you will.

i just think labeling this as trance might lose you dollar.

The illegal download market is shocking I'd probably say for every 10 legal downloads a minimum of 100 illegal downloads or more, its shocking that people wont even pay a quid even for a track/version


This remix is good but since all the big names flock to the same old monotonous sound.... I dunno maybe techy djs might favour this version...regardless as I said I like this.

You're totally right. I was shocked when I started releasing stuff commercially. My tracks were available to download for free, as 320kbps MP3s, the morning of their release. You are right with your figures too, 90% of downloads of tracks on the web are illegal. My debut single went to number 1 in the DMC World Trance Chart and number 10 in the Official UK Club Chart, above Beyonce and The Pussycat Dolls....how much did I make? Less than 30 quid.
