OT: Some Amazing MIDI Sequencing Skills!

OK, so this isn't EDM-related, but I saw this over on the Sonar forums and figured I'd share. I studied this masterpiece (Igor Stravinsky's 'Le Sacre du Printemps' [The Rite of Spring]) for my senior thesis way back when I was a music theory/composition major and I can't even imagine the amount of work that went into sequencing this.

These are the first two parts - apparently, the last two parts are in mp3 format only.

That's cool. I've seen some orchestral MIDI's (there's some on Vienna's site) and there's just shitloads and shiloads of automation going on. I can't even imagine how much time you have to spend on MIDI and automation if you want your orchestral pieces to sound even remotely organic/human.

Here's a few links from me Take a listen to this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_XOkpGCM1xY - they've said in an interview that this entire piece is done in a sequencer in piano roll. No shuffle, swing, quantize or whatever
Can't understand how their brains didn't implode while making this.

The craziest MIDI shit I came across was someone transcribing a twelve tone technique piece (I think it was Bartok but I'm not sure) into MIDI. If you're not familiar with this take a listen at this sonata: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uanfKvqlj3M

Granted, it wasn't the entire piece but still.

While we're on this subject; There are videos of people playing this type of music without a staff Meaning they know it by heart. Think about how much time and dedication is needed for this.
