Tonight I saw the trailer for the new film 'District 9' - hit or miss?
THEY SAY
quote:
District 9 depicts a fictional world where extraterrestrials have become refugees in South Africa.
Thirty years ago, aliens made first contact with Earth. Humans waited for the hostile attack, or the giant advances in technology. Neither came. Instead, the aliens were refugees, the last survivors of their home world. The creatures were set up in a makeshift home in South Africa’s District 9 as the world’s nations argued over what to do with them.

The scientist cannot capture the whole cosmos in thought. In his mind he makes a kind of microcosm, which we see as an analogue of the cosmos. In this way we try to get a feeling for the whole. The artist, I suppose, gets a feeling for the whole some other way.”

Its an anime about aliens that come to earth and instead of doing anything productive they just try to integrate into society. Mainly most of them are annoying and and a nuisance to humans.

i think that's what will make it better. if it was fast-paced it would just be another cloverfield or any other sci/fi thing.
i'm really intrigued by this - first i've heard of it too.
