Alot of people complain that trance is too repetitive.
So,
A question:
Do you think it may be that one of the greatest things about trance is in fact that it is repetitive? One thing that I love about music is wonderful melodies dancing around in a beautiful and stimulating harmony... The problem is that many times they are overly exaggerated...
It seems that trance solves that problem by delivering one or two general motifs of beautiful melody in the purest form without worrying about making a 'song' (as we know it).
Some people see trance as reptitive and crude. I am starting to see it as a wonderful epiphany in our collective musical history.
Would love to hear any comments and your own technical thinking on such a wonderful art.

dance music is generally repetitive - gives you a predictable beat to shake your ass to.

Would it be too much to ask to have one trance-related topic without some retard trying to be funny and posting unicorn images?
+1
I love the attention to detail on a lot of tracks, you know those tracks you listen to 100 times and still catch something new.

I am afraid trance is no longer the trendy sound! It is passe!
All the ex-trance fans are listening to mnml now forever doomed to an eternity of boring loopy music tight jeans scarfs and bad hipster haircuts...
And all the trance producers...
Yeah... you get the picture

What the hell has that got to do with anything? Please keep your petty agenda to your own thread.

First of all, I am terribly sorry Mr. mystery. In these difficult times, staying on topic is my top priority, and I only violate it now in the important interest of illustrating why people post unicorn images on trance topics on a message board called tranceaddict. I’d like to take issue with you saying I have an agenda. This is the truth sir. No agenda behind it.
And the truth is that well... trance is not trendy anymore... These days the kids like electro & minimal. It is too much for them to not post unicorn images on trance topics when they have evolved to music that according to them is far more refined and advanced.
