The term DAW (Digital Audio Workstation) includes computer as well.
Way to many people throw out the term "DAW" nowdays, without really knowing what it really means. Many people seem to think it's just another word for the music software, which is wrong. |
Wiki quote:
A digital audio workstation (DAW) is an electronic system designed to record, edit and play back digital audio. A key feature of DAWs is the ability to freely manipulate recorded sounds. Many DAWs, especially computer-based DAWs, have MIDI recording, editing, and playback capabilities.

All kinds of vsts, I have way more vsts than hardware.
Gladiator, Nexus, Genesis, Warmverb, Emphasizer, Krishna, Jupiter 8v, most Audio Damage plugs , ect. ect. ect. the list goes on. On most tracks I use several eq's and compressors, plus I heavily process my sends. Like I wont just put a reverb, I will shape it with many other plugs and so on. So far, since my new pc, I have never frozen again. |
Wow, those are pretty high cpu plugs. I really have a high expectation of my i7 to come now .
