I keep telling people about this album and saying how wonderful it is...
I bought this album a few months back, and it reigns as my top purchase...standing above Politics of Dancing and even the mighty acclaimed(yet overrated) S&D Northern Exposure: Expeditions.
Disc 1's mixing is probably the definition of what perfect mixing is....seamless cuts and transitions weave the tracks together to form an aural fantasy. The mix concentrates on maintaining an airy, steady atmosphere, yet manages to inject it with enough energy to keep it alive and bright.
Disc 2 is awesome. A little more edgy and fast paced...almost too much. The mix leaves you breathless by the time Heaven Scent hits, almost an excess of pure trance and mixing euphoria, wondering how and when you got hit so hard with masterful mixing. Yet the mix is steady and constant like the the first disc...no rushes, complete balance and comfort in listening. A little more heavy toned and harder texture is apparent in disc 2.
Only Sasha is capable of this. This album represent trance at it's finest IMO.
As you can see, I love this album. I'm glad someone chose to start a thread about it.
