What are, IYP the best albums of the last year

Hey everyone, I feel like I've been totally out of the loop, I've been a trance addict, since around 1999. I have an extensive collection of old out of print trance albums, whole discogs of quite a few artists, obviously just the albums not live performances. Anyway I was out of country for almost a year,in china and so I'm sure I've missed some good stuff, the popularity level of it is unimportant I just want stuff to search for so I don't have to go look through every artist individual @ thedjlist or something.

Of just trance? Probably Menno de Jong's Intuition Session was the best that I came across, although it wasn't super-fantastical or anything; just nice melodic stuff for the most part.

of all the mainstream artist albums out there I thought In Between wasnt bad at all. other than that I really enjoyed tom middleton's Lifetracks. its entirely ambient but its better than most of dance music's offerings this year

It's obvious de jongs album has made a lot of waves there are torrents of it everywhere.

While I'm not a huge GOA fan, I do like hard psy a lot, but more along the lines of hardestertrance which is as far as I know a long vacant vein of trance. However, the samples, from the soundfield album sounds like they've done an excellent job of fusing it with a, I guess I would say ambient progressive trance, cause it wasn't hard progressive sounding from the clips.

planisphere's sound definitely reminds me of airdrawndagger, though they obviously predate that album, but their current sound is definitely reminiscent of it. Hmmm found a third edition of the album which is a continuous mix by hybrid, I bet it's probably sick as hell, my very favorite version of godspeed was hybrids mix on renaissance america, is it just me or did the renaissance series completely deviate from a pure trance starting and into this disco loop crap that is really annoying?

I can't seem to find a torrent of planisphere anywhere, I normally buy all my music as long as it's on and indy non RIAA label which is like every dance label, but I'm poor as dirt right now and just jonsing for music. Last time I started spending on used albums on on amazon I ended up running up my credit card debt like a mother ******, stupid 1 click buy button.

Solar fields I'm sure will be good, but I haven't looked into it yet.

yeah the Sound Field album was great. Easily one of the best trance albums of 2007.

forgive me if I didn't want to look through 20 pages, and I wasn't looking for a single album from each of you.

Planisphere is not "they", it is one guy, Laurent Véronnez (aka Airwave). And the hybrid edition is not by hybrid and has nothing to do with Hybrid.

Asura - Life˛ is probably my favourite trance album of 2007. Haven't been listening to that much trance this year though. Otherwise if you're up for some lovely deep-/tech house, check out The Timewriter - Soulstickers.
