I'll be making a stop in Berlin for a few days at the end of Sept. Any suggestions on what to do n Berlin or the surrounding area? We're actually aiming for some outdoor activities. For example, we'll be cycling in Rotterdam while out in Netherlands. Thanks!

cycling, going for a stroll at the platz where u can buy clothing, etc- drink coffee outside, try looking for a music event maybe, visit the historical monuments, you can't go there w/o trying a krapfen- its my favorite donut thing in the world- i used to eat 3 apricot krapfen straight & not regret it but thats how they call them in bayern- if ur in berlin they call them Berliners >.> ppls there fancy doing 'nature' things- dunno if ur into that but its not bad

Take the free 3-hour walking tours that meet by the Brandenburg Gate. The guys who run them work on tips and actually love what they're doing.
Also, eat at White Trash Fast Food.

look nice and leave your digicam behind
they will turn you away if they don't like you
and they will take your cam away because they are not allowed inside
but you will hear the best music of your life
on the loudest sound system in germany

I will be in Saarbrücken this summer but will be traveling around to see random people. definitely one of the things I want to check out when I'm in Berlin. The face control sounds pretty bad though.
