Ugh... this is a terrible remix. Not so much because it sounds bad, but because it's utterly unnecessary, it adds nothing to the original and it was quite blatantly made to give Nick Robson exposure off the back of a classic rather than for any artistic purpose.

Seriously, Dark Train (and this is a remix of Dark Train, not Dark & Long) is a track that is evergreen and ageless. It came out in 1994 and it still sounds fresher than almost everything you hear today.

If DJs today really are so pathetically timid that they can't play this track unless someone gives it trendy percussion and effects then we're in a sad, sad state of affairs.

I still play it out , absolutely love the original.

I could moan for ages, but I'll cut it short and just say I agree with everything SYSTEM-J said.

I have'nt heard the remix yet, but it would be neglectful of me not to point out that what you wrote is an example of a person not understanding the purpose of a remix, regardless of the quality of remix. If you knew the purpose, you would not be bothered by this remix in the way you have been bothered young Siddhartha. Hence, knowledge is power...thus I am have powers.

End of discussion. Only because Francesco Farfa is in part responsible for Francesco Farfa - The Search (weekend world remix)
