Set Up Question

within the next week im planning on buying a xone 42 and as i cant afford to buy two decent cdj players (800mk2s etc, i dont really want to go cheap), and i want to mix digitally for now and am thinking of purchasing traktor stratch to go alone with the mixer for the time being
any suggestions?
thanks

CDJ 400s?

Or just save up for the 800s.

How much do u want to spend? You can always buy a used one off of ebay or a pawn shop!

i went to long & mcquades here in toronto, talked to the dj equipment rep there, seemed pretty knowledgable for my price range and what i want to get he gave me two options
1) buying the xone 42 plus this little hercules mk2 console, while using a mixing program (Traktor Scratch etc.)

2) buying the VCI 300 he kept on raving about it says it has everything i need etc. the mixer in it obviously isnt as good as the xone but everything will do the job

my only question is would the hercules (through its soundcard) work with the traktor program i already have? it works with virtual dj (who wants that though) so i would presume it to work with other programs etc

thanks!
