Recording to Macbook

Hey everybody,
I recently bought myself a Macbook and I would like to continue recording my Podcasts! Before I just plugged it to my other Laptop into the Mic jack (purple slot for the input of audio) but the new Macbook, I bought is not supported by a slot like the one I used. Here you can see all different In/Outputs

My question is:
How can I connect my Mixer (Pioneer DJM-600) to my Laptop without any Mic jack?

Before I just used one with the 2ends i plugged in the mixer and the other one with a mic ending i plugged in to the microphone jack..

I try to avoid to use the built-in microphone since you don't have the clearest sound for my audio recording..
Thanks a lot!
Cedric K.

See the Audio In/Out..

That's where you'll plug the 3.5mm male jack into. Just like you did when it was a Mic on your other laptop.

I think you might have to go to your preferences pane (audio then select the input tab at the top) and change it to input rather than output, should work just fine then

Download a program like Audacity, or just use whatever you were using before hand with the other laptop.

Let me know if that works for you..

n3lly is right. If your Macbook came with Garageband, you can use that to record your podcast and encode it as well. It's sweet cuz you can add chapters, artwork, and a lot more.

Does Audio-In mean anything to you? Its a hint, the rest you should figure out yourself to feel some satisfaction.

You shouldn't use mic in to record line level signals, the sound quality will be absolutely horrible. Get a sound card with line-in.
