I believe if there was any choice in the matter Swamper would obviously prefer not to have pop-ups but unfortunately they keep the site going with support so stop whinging about it. If they weren't there there'd be no Tranceaddict

yeah!!!! besides, it's only 1 stinkin banner!!! imagine if it was like all those other sites where like 10 banners open up in your face, and each one pops up another 10 and when you close them they pop up more banners and so on and so on..........
that would be REALLY annoying. but I don't mind closing 1 window.... I even clicked the link a few times just to help Swamper. (websites get more money if ppl click the links in the ads).....
if it's for the survival of the TA boards, I'm just fine with it!!!

It's amazing how one pop-up causes headaches, just hit Alt+Space and then C and the window is closed in under a second...
A small % of users use pop-up stoppers and I know who you are, it is very easy to catch, I just haven't enforced it.
Given the decline of internet advertising over the past few years it has become necessary to subsidize revenue with popups. Banner click-through ratios are VERY low and no longer provide meaningful results. Eradicate the means that webmasters obtain revenue to support their servers and you soon eliminate the site that you came to visit in the first place.
