Planning a Trip Rather Cluelessly
So I have been working quite a bit all summer. Living in a resort town september-october is a good time to travel as evertything is slow as we all wait for the snow. I am from Whistler, B.C. Canada and have only ever left the country for a trip to Vegas and back. Now that I've got money saved I am determined to take off to South America by myself with no real plans at all. I don't know anything about the area really, or what is cheap, what to do etc. All I know is that I want to go wander for 4 weeks, and get in some good surf time (never done it before). I only speak english. As of right now I plan on flying in to Buenos Aires at the end of September and returning out of Buenos Aires at the end of October. Also I plan on having about 1000 Canadian dolars to spend for the 1 month I'm abroad. Lastly if there is any music festivals anywhere near me during this time I will definitely go hit them up. I am the kinda person who is quite layed back and can just go with the flow, wander, be alone, be out going and meet people etc, so I'm not too worried about logistics, but if there are dangerous areas I would like to know about that.
Any and all help is hugely appreciated as i want to book flights very soon.
