Anybody been following the threads on KVR, etc. regarding the big NI announcement that's expected tomorrow (Tuesday)? Apparently, they are going to be announcing a bunch of new products and it looks like B&H has already let the cat out of the bag:
Incidentally, the Komplete 6 package is only $449! But, the upgrade from K5 is $149, which means that people who bought K5 during the recent sale will have to pay an additional $99 ($399+$149=$548) more than those who just waited to buy K6 - ouch! But, we'll also have to wait and see if K6 includes fewer plugs than K5 does. For example, I kinda doubt that Kontakt 4 ($379 alone) will be included in K6.
And it does include Kontact 4, Absynth 5 and Guitar Rig 4 Pro. Komplete 6 only contains 7 instruments this time round, but I'm not really bothered about that as it's still a good deal considering the price of the new Kontact on it's own.
i saw this last night on the NI website. i was looking for the audio/video demo's of guitar rig3, and all that stuff got replaced.
i've been very lucky with NI, and benefitted handsomely from their past blunders... so i'll be upgrading. mostly for guitar rig, and absynth. i really like how they added the knobs/controls to the front page of absynth, and mutate function. guitar rig is my main FX processor, so the more it can do the better it is for me!
