James Zabiela hints at what you can expect next from Pioneer.

Not that many details, but you can see in what direction they're going.

The new players from Pioneer are rumoured to have full coloured LCD screens.

They're trying to remove the need to look at laptop screen often. The new LCD screen would allow to navigate digital collection, etc.

So they're making this to market only to the djs that want to stop looking at their laptops as much? I don't see much market for that.

So instead of staring at a laptop screen for a while you can stare at what will probably be a much smaller screen for a while.

Amazing.

I bet the computer would be easier to navigate as well.

I'll reserve total judgment until I actually see the device.

This CD is loaded with uplifting, energetic, blood moving tracks intricately mixed with angelic perfection. From that moment on, I could feel the magik flowing through my veins while listening to the music that Tijs carefully samples and produces. His creativity allows him to develop the concepts of songs that bring life and energy to people around the world.

Honestly, one of the main reasons I switched to a DVS with external control was to avoid having to pre-burn cds every time I want to mix something new. It's a major pain in the ass and the DVS solved that problem for me and many others. I'd consider dropping a DVS all together if these new screens on the players give you a list of all the tracks a la the MEP mobile players from Pioneer.

so you'd drop your DVS to buy something that does the exact same thing? just a smaller screen?
