Spicelab (Oliver Lieb) - Cold Chillin' (1993, Harthouse), Acid, Techno, Exp, Trance

Some people were asking what the Spicelab sound was like in the classic album / set thread. Here it is - raw, super experimental, acid, ambient, techno and trance.

I've got a few Lieb vinyls in my shopping cart on discogs right now, I just might pull the trigger.

I bought the first Spicelab album from Amazon used for $0.99, sometime this past year. The CDs are out there, so long as you don't mind 'net shopping.

Back then Spicelab and Lieb's works overall were indeed gold.

Spicelab - Spice Is A Fulltime Occupation. Should've posted this too Rez.

Too bad for youtube's length limitations.. alot of Spicelab tracks feature there only half of their length, or less. Falling is still so damn good for all its ~18 minutes.

Always loved the style he implemented as Spicelab, but then again anything he makes is freaking scorching. I'm particularly fond of Cold Chillin', Spicelab and Pyrospice. Top three! Spicelab is a much more groovy track with a funky bassline and kinda twinkly melody, love it. Cold Chillin' is a completely ruthless banger with one of the sweetest acid basslines I've ever encountered. And that melody at 03:38 is gelidity and intensity conveyed in sound. And just when you thought it couldn't get harder, the track flips out with a deeper, more distorted acid line and fiercer clap at 07:34 and on.
Sorry, I get all happy when people talk about it.
