For the sake of it, let's see why fruity is a better buy. There's tons of reasons, but I'm not going to get into them all. And yes, reason does have its strong points, but fruity is a much better choice.
The biggest problem with reason is that there is no vst support, and you only get the subtractor... it's not the greatest synth. Yes, you can use vst's with reason but that involves buying several things: you have to buy cubase, you have to buy reason, and then you have to buy the vst's you want to use.
Or, you can use fruity as your main sequencer, and then just buy vst plugins to use with it. Since fruity is only $100 with free lifetime upgrades, you can get fruity and a good NI synth for the same price as reason alone...

Maybe, maybe... but the question here was "Is Reason worth buying?", NOT "What software is better than Reason?"
You may have pretty valid points (although I prefer Reason, just because I can work my way around the restrictions) but they don't have anything to do with the thread itself
