I'd wait for Reason 2 release, it should be out this summer.

Maybe, maybe... but the question here was "Is Reason worth buying?", NOT "What software is better than Reason?"

You may have pretty valid points (although I prefer Reason, just because I can work my way around the restrictions) but they don't have anything to do with the thread itself

You're way wrong there... of course what I said is related to the thread. Yes, the question was "Is Reason worth buying?". That's exactly why I posted what I did. Am I not right to assume that since fruity is (probably) a much better choice, it makes reason less appealing and therefore "less worth buying?"

Of course its not worth buying. For that sorta money no software is.

Fruity is better than reason. The sequencing in reason is just so unbelieveably awkward. The redrum and matrix r pretty awkward too.
Fruity is powerful yet very very simple.

This is what makes the world such an interesting place to live; one person can like Reason and another can like Fruity Loops without forcing their opinion on the other. Use whatever is appealing to you!!! The same thing with another thread dealing with headphone preferences - who cares? Use whatever you are comfortable with.
