Most of the stuff I watch seems to have been produced by the BBC.

Ah yeah, the beeb over here is our standard television. Some of the stuff they have is absolutely spot on. But you find living here there seems to be a bias towards period dramas and soaps, or hospital dramas, or something set in an auction house.

ANything from your local network that you would reccomend? i suppose is how i meant to phrase this question

I'm not sure there's anything available in English apart from the soap operas. "Globo Repórter" is nice, and "Casseta & Planeta", a local comedy show, is hysteric. But, I think both programmes are too local
