Overall the hotels in southbeach are shit. They sell them by giving it this crap title called "art deco". Basically, a shit hotel can be painted blue and put some fish imagery on the front and they are art deco haha. The nice hotels are higher up. But for WMC it really doesnt matter. Just go with location.

shit, those places referred to above are running $300+ so more like 6 times as much!
so what would you WMC veterans consider to be a "good deal" for a middle of the road place(3 stars) $150 or below?
found this
Beach Paradise Hotel
600 Ocean Dr
2.5 stars
74% recommended
2 queen beds $148 due to 30% off for booking 3 nights.
now gotta find a friend who is down to plan so far in advance so they can reap benefits of doing so!

All I need are some cool buds, some tasty waves, and I'm fine.

I agree with Carson... thats all you really need.
are they allowing you to book out dates now for WMC next year already? I usually get flights nov/dec for cheap rates
well ya, but if you can get a nicer place to stay for the same price as a roach motel, then im taking the nicer place. I'll let some of you guys be the stragglers that wind up paying twice the price for half the accomodations.
as soon as virgin offers up service to FLL i'll look into booking via orbitz, as prices DO GO DOWN...they have that price assurance gimmick so you wind up paying the least charged rate.
Virgin air threw out a sale this week, so say you had booked a flight for from CA to DC 3 months ago for $150 each way. the current rate is $89 but you would be SOL even though you didnt wait til the last minute.
Orbitz would refund you the $61 difference each way, thats $120. which from what i've heard will get you 4 drinks in Miami.

Flying into FLL blows ass. Fly into MIA.
It's not that bad actually. It's a lot cheaper and the shuttle from FLL to Miami is not a hassle. I met some cool party people in my shuttle from all around the world. Even met this girl from SF who I see all the time at the parties in the city.

I hear you, different strokes for different folks. I just think MIA is a lot more convenient.
