James Holden appreciation thread

The man needs no introduction here I guess
List your favorite tracks and DJ sets, please ;]

Some of mine include the masterpieces like "A Break in The Clouds", "Nothing". His set from "Cacao Club" in Bulgaria (2003) is wicked also.

favorite tracks by him are A Break in the Clouds, Horizons, and Solstice. Balance 005 is my favorite comp ever. His BC label was reaaaalllly solid for the first few years of its existence. His At the Controls comp is way better than the others.

These days he isn't keeping me interested though.

This CD is loaded with uplifting, energetic, blood moving tracks intricately mixed with angelic perfection. From that moment on, I could feel the magik flowing through my veins while listening to the music that Tijs carefully samples and produces. His creativity allows him to develop the concepts of songs that bring life and energy to people around the world.

Ariane - Eternity (Souldrivers Mix)
James Holden & Ben Pound - Kaern Turned
Holden, Sasha & Junkie XL - Bloodlock
Balance 005 is a given.

Roland Klinkenberg - Inner Laugh (James Holden Remix)
Joshua Ryan - Pistolwhip (James Holden Remix)
The Coffee Boys - The Touch (James Holden Remix)
Accadia - Into the Dawn (James Holden Remix)

Just about everything he touched back then was instantly gold in my ears.

For those who don't have it, here's a link to his 2002 EM.

that's when Holden was producing really interesting tracks. The first hour or so is tremendous.

I wonder if Border Community is going to stop now that they've hit 25 releases. It seems as tho they've run out of ideas.

His Essential Mix from 2002 is legendary. Indeed he was more interesting back in the years, now seems like he slowed down a little bit.
