the noise swish's i think have to much resonance making it sound to whistle like. thats a personal preference. i dont think it fits IMO.

with the off beat bass line try stretching out the notes making them longer so basically dragging them across so there almost touching. then use sidechain to seperate them i found that gives it a sound similar to some aly/fila tracks.. it also helps to drive the song IMO.

id add heaps more reverb to the piano.. so its sounds like the notes are extending.. lots more wet and length.. also eq abit make more bright

with the build up. because it doesnt break into all hek.. maybe try the technique of not building it up so much dropping in the kick for a couple of bars.. then start building to when you bring in the high synth @ about 5 mins.

then i would drop the kick and play it for one or two bars with the kick build up again.. then drop it into the outro

you know when you listen to a track and you would like it to do these things. this is just that for me so its all IMO

Ok, mate, say 'point out the sound and production flaws';

As ever it's all about sound choices.

So the pad is a very nice sound.
But all the drum sounds are very old and raw sounding. Like the rolling snare rolls, that's like a 909 basic preset snare. Listen to your open hihat, it's again a very generic old style sound.

The bass sound is again very old sounding as is the lead.

If you can spend A LOT of time getting good individual sounds, then that's probably going to make the biggest leap to your productions.

I find sound selecting and deep editing takes a huge amount of time and effort.

When I started out I just wanted to 'bang out a track', i'e' do the fun bit. But honestly there is no short cut and puring over thousands of sounds, and then editing them, or buiding your own from scratch is the key.
