It amazes me how much news this is getting. Even though I don't agree with what Reynolds believes I still think he has a right to say it.

Sure he has a right to say it. But to also say in the same breath that he's not intolerant makes him look even more like a fucking ignorant moron. And for that he deserves to be ridiculed.

I'm not going to go so far as Jenny (I mean no one goes as far as Jenny ifyaknowwhatImsayin') but; yeah, he has the right to say it and everyone else has the right to assess the content of his character accordingly and or challenge him as they see fit.

if people have a right to support same-sex marriage then people should also have a right to not support it.

the same goes for anything in our society. some people like mcdonalds, some people dont. some people support marijuana decriminalization/legalization, some people do not. just because some people dont agree with it does not necessarily make them an ignorant moron.

If him voicing his opinion affects his ability to manage his players then i would think they would care. What if Brian Burke now refuses to deal with any player who has Reynolds as his agent? His ability to get the best contract for his player may now be affected.

Reynolds wanted to voice his point of view. That's fine. But the fact that he chose to do so by saying Avery's support for marriage equality was "misguided" and then having the clarify his comments is what made him seem like a bigot. This silver lining to this story is Sean Avery. I can't stand this guy and often times he comes off being such a douche. Props to him for being open minded and supporting this issue.

Goddard’s Twitter page is his own, but pictures him on a Sportsnet set and identifies him as ‘Rogers Sportsnet — anchor, Connected’. For those who would hammer Reynolds and now Goddard, it must be said that there is no ‘debate’ on gay issues in sport unless people involved in sport provide the basis for one. These two men have provided that. On a side note, Reynolds is self-employed. Goddard works for a gigantic media conglomerate that must be mindful of its public image. It’s not clear what action Rogers Sportsnet will take, if any. But Goddard wouldn’t have been heartened to see a series of replies on the network’s main Twitter page through the afternoon. These repeated the same message to a series of questioners who referenced Goddard’s original comment: “Today’s tweet from Damian Goddard does not reflect the views of Rogers Sportsnet.”

Do you think Burke would not sign an amazing player cause his agent doesn't like fags??

Business is business and that's someone's personal opinion on something that has nothing to do with pro sports...
